Exploring Solar offers materials for teaching and learning about solar power. The resources and activities are designed to offer insights into the advantages and limitations of PV panels and to generate discussion about how solar power may become a part of the world’s energy mix.
We support the Illinois Solar Schools Program that helps K-12 schools install 1 kW PV systems on their school buildings. Each school’s system is connected to an online monitoring dashboard that provides real-time data. The solar data is available for student analysis activities.
